I am all excited that football season is finally here! As for the pros, I'm an Arizona Cardinal fan. After a pre-season in which the Cardinals gave a great impression of the "Keystone Cops", I hope they will get their act together when they play the 49ers this Sunday. Now we are being told that the game may not be televised because it isn't a sellout. (Or at least not yet). It's hard to believe that with the Super Bowl still fresh in our memory, the first game of this season wouldn't sell out. On the other hand, times are tough, and tickets aren't cheap! Otherwise, I might be there myself.
Last night the actual beginning of the NFL season started with the Tennessee Titans in Pittsburgh to play the Steelers. As you probably know, the Steelers eeked out an overtime victory with a field goal in overtime. Another contest decided by a favorable coin toss. Dan and - opined that the pro rules for overtime are great, but they sure didn't convince me. When the coin toss winner gets to end the game before the other team gets to play offense at all doesn't seem right. I think college rules are more fair.
Well, enough about football. This is September 11th, and our thoughts and prayers are with families and friends of the victims of that infamous day 8 years ago. God bless, and have a good day.
